Google Maps allows you to download a part of the map and use it offline. One of the most valuable functions is traveling abroad and without mobile data. Ensure to change the time on the 'Depart at' tab to when you plan to travel. Click on the 'Depart at' tab at the top of the screen, just below the mode of transportation list.
Google maps can check out directions and routes of location ahead of time.
